Why we value print books
Share
I just read this article in The Conversation about value of print books.
So true! There are so many reasons to read, own and collect books. A book is more than the story it holds, they are a physical object that can signify a ritual, I read each night in bed to help me sleep. They decorate our homes in shelves, piles and other random places. We share our experiences in reading books online and in book clubs.
Books are a part of my family history and I give mostly books at Christmas and for Birthdays. New fiction, biographies, non-fiction and gifty books for those who read less.
A beautiful classic is a great gift for a teen - even if they are not a reader. It could be the start of a collection, or something they return to when they are older.
